How is AIDWA organised?

Its organisational strength lies in thousands of elected grass roots units from the village and the city neighbourhood levels going up to the Central Executive Committee at the national level. Unit committees can be organised wherever there are more than 50 members and any member of AIDWA is eligible to get elected to the committees. Any woman above age of 16 who subscribes to the AIDWA constitution and programme is eligible for membership of the organisation. Membership of the organisation has to be renewed every year on the basis of an annual membership fee of Re. One (at present). AIDWA does not receive any foreign funds nor any funds from the Government. Its activities are financed by membership fees, individual donations or through fund collection drives.
